Settings worth changing
Settings (O) covers controls, zoom, glyph size and sound. Three of those are worth a visit on day one.
Zoom and glyph size
Scroll to zoom. Past the closest camera distance the glyphs themselves get bigger, which is the difference between reading the world and squinting at it.
Hide building attachment dots
Once you know how pieces snap, the dots are noise. Hiding them does not stop snapping.
Sound levels
BITE and Tin retained are audio cues first. If you play muted, watch the float and the pan, not the corner of the screen.
